A new mini game on Facebook has provided a chance for early access to the Mass Effect 3 demo.  By successfully decoding a sequence of four icons, players can earn a code redeemable for either an avatar icon or the demo itself.  However, the demo code is currently only avaliable for the Xbox 360 version of the game.

The demo will be avaliable for all platforms on Febrauary 14th.  The 360 version of the game will feature full Kinect integration.

So, here's a slightly related story for all of you.  A statement on the Mass Effect 3 Official Facebook page has announced that due to strong player feedback, BioWare is considering changing the ending to Mass Effect 3.  Members of the Mass Effect community have also started a Retake Mass Effect Chipin fund to collect donations for Child's Play charity in an attempt to encourage BioWare to change the ending.

In yet another followup to the Mass Effect 3 story, Bioware has confirmed on its website that it is working on 'game content intitiatives' to answer lingering plot holes and provide better closure after the controversial ending to the game.  Just goes to show that sometimes fan initiative does reach the developers ears.

Yeah from what I've heard from my friends the ending is really bad. I won't spoil anything but it needed to be changed.

Here's a bit of news for anyone looking to pick up the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3.  EA has announced that this version will not be receiving the Leviathan and Omega DLC packs after previous speculation that they would be integrated into the game's disc.  The Wii U version will have the Extended Ending, From Ashes, and the Resurgence, Rebellion, and Earth multiplayer packs built in at no extra charge.   EA also announced that they do not plan to bring Mass Effect 1 or 2 to the console despite it being the Wii U being the only one to not receive the Mass Effect Trilogy set.  Bad luck all around.

For those not playing the Wii U version, the Omega DLC will be arriving on Nov. 27, and it is said to be the biggest DLC pack for the game yet.
